Frequently asked questions
Can't find what you're looking for? Email us at hello@dayone.africa.
Who is DayOne for?
DayOne is built for young Africans (typically 22–35) navigating their careers — whether you're looking for your first role, trying to grow into a leadership position, or building a freelance practice. If you're ambitious, growth-oriented, and ready to invest in yourself, DayOne is for you.
Are your programs free?
We offer a mix of free resources (guides, templates, tools) and paid programs. Our paid programs are intentionally priced to be accessible across African markets — we also offer scholarships and flexible payment plans. Reach out if cost is a barrier.
Do you offer mentorship?
Yes. Every DayOne program includes access to our mentor network. Mentors are professionals across industries and countries who have volunteered their time specifically to support young Africans. You'll be matched based on your goals and sector.
How do I join the community?
The best way to join is to sign up for a program or subscribe to our newsletter. Our community is private and intentional — we want it to remain a high-quality space for serious professionals. Fill out the contact form and we'll guide you to the right entry point.
I'm a company — can I partner with DayOne?
Absolutely. We work with companies who want to hire and develop African talent. This includes sponsored cohorts, corporate trainings, and talent pipeline partnerships. Email partnerships@dayone.africa to start a conversation.
Do you accept facilitators or guest speakers?
We're always looking to expand our facilitator and speaker network. If you have expertise relevant to career development for young Africans and a genuine commitment to the community, we'd love to hear from you. Email hello@dayone.africa with your background and areas of expertise.
Ready to take the first step?
Whether you're just starting out or levelling up, DayOne was built for exactly where you are right now.
